Sean McIntyre and I created a generative photo booth for Flux Factory’s annual Not-So-Silent Auction to playfully convey the expansiveness of the Flux community and the important role every individual plays in it. Throughout the night, we photographed attendees individually or in small groups and digitally removed the backgrounds. Then custom software randomly distributed the resulting images to construct a large crowd stretching beyond the frame. Composite photos were generated in real time throughout the night to feature the most recently photographed attendee.
