Jason Eppink's Catalogue of Creative Triumphs

The first annual DIY Basketball Association tourney pitted eight old and new DIY spaces against each other on street courts in Williamsburg’s Cooper Park in a single-elimination bracket-style tournament. Participating teams came from Big Snow, Death By Audio, Flux Factory, Roulette, Secret Project Robot, Shea Stadium, Silent Barn, and The Wallet.

The DIYBA trophy needed to represent the spirit of the competitors and the communities they cultivate: resourcefulness, ambition, scrappiness, and not giving a flying fuck. After a week of procrastination, the trophy was pieced together in 90 minutes on the morning of the tournament using scrap materials and gold spray paint.
